Spoony bridge, Grimsby Beach. The structure bridged the ravine at the lake, north of 8th street between 7th and 9th street. This image, taken after 1922 by Murdoch, shows a later version of the bridge, set back further from the lake front. Extensive lake shore erosion forced the bridge to be moved back from the lake front at least three times during George Fair's tenure as Park supervisor in the early 1900'sCollection
