Description

Main Street looking East towards Anderson’s Hill. On the left hand side you find the Malacoff Building (2-story brick building with white awning) which was built in 1855-56 as a 4-story building by Captain Randall. The top 2 story’s were razed in the late 1890s. The HG&B ticket station was located in the Malacoff building between 1894-1911. The building with the balcony was Conrad Durham’s Butcher and Liquor Store - which sold the very best whiskey for $1.60 Next to Conrad’s was Grimsby Realty Company Club House. HG&B tracks down the centre of Main Street.
