The Park Road Gates were built in honour of a royal visit that occurred in 1939. The lower pillars are made of beach stone, with wooden pillars on top. On the righthand stone pillar is a plague which reads, " In commemoration of the Visit to Canada of King George and Queen Elizabeth, 1939". The gates were constructed with funds raised by the Grimsby Beach Cottager's Association.Collection
