A postcard postmarked 1940 showing the western side of the town -
from right to left:
-a portion of Main St west near Gibson.
-Murray street runs north through the centre of the image to the lake.
- The homes on Nelles Boulevard and St Andrews are visible
on the north side of Livingston, west of Murray St are the schools, area, the precooling plant, the Bell canning factory complex and adjoining at the far left is the building where the itinerant cannery workers were seasonally accomodated.
- Most of the lands to the north of the train tracks are still fruit farms.Collection
