Great Western Railway station - originally on a single track system between Queenston and Hamilton. The official opening of the rail service was 1st November 1853, the station was completed in 1855.
Women's clothing and two sets of tracks indicate the timing could be the late 1880's / early 1890s.
There is a wooden sidewalk in the foreground which is the west side of Depot Street.
