Photos A and C have been scanned.
Clarence Waring, a native Charleston businessman, constructed this two-and-a-half story Colonial Revival Style house in 1913 on one of several newly reclaimed lots. A projecting closed gable emanates asymmetrically from the hipped roof facade. A full-width porch with paired Doric columns and balustrade wraps partially around the eastern elevation. Waring's house bears a striking similarity to it's two western neighbors, the George Carroll House (1912) at 193 Broad Street and the Taft-Simons House (1911) at 195 Broad Street.
