China Plate- Presbyterian Church of Hammonton White plate with stenciled picture of church in center From back of plate: PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH OF HAMMONTON Founded 1861 The first church building was erected and finished debt free in 1866. The present structure was built in 1896, to which was added a modern Christian Education building in 1963. The church has a long history of local missionary emphasis beginning with the Italian Mission in 1896 up to the current Spanish Ministry begun in 1968. This was recognized in 1980 with the award of "The Church of the Year" by the New Jersey Council of Churches. "The Lord has done great things for us whereof, we are glad."
