Ruler- Advertising Piece- First Federal Wooden 12-inch ruler graded in 1/16-inch increments, approximately 12 inches 1-1/8 inches × 3/16". Painted white. Printed on the front in red lettering are the following: - The ruler tick marks and numerals labeling each successive inch measurement along the top edge - "MADE IN USA" in tiny letters near the top left corner just below the tick mark. of the first inch - "Hammonton, N. J." centered along the bottom edge - "NEWTON MFG. CO., NEWTON, IOWA" in tiny letters near the right corner along the bottom edge between the 10-inch and 12-inch tick marks. Impressed into the wood. but with the red ink evidently worn off, can be discerned; - "Elect FIRST FEDERAL As Your Financial Headquarters in 1968" spanning the center of the ruller face - "215 Bellevue Ave." along the bottom edge to the left of Hammonton, N.J. - "Phone: 561-25(?)0" along the bottom edge to the right of Hammonton, N.J. Printed on the rear in red lettering is a list of the first 36 Presidents of the USA (Geo. Washington through Lyndon B. Johnson) and their dates in office, with L.Johnson's term end date left blank.
