"Centennial Review, 1853-1953, Los Angeles Lodge No. 42, F & AM," compiled by Pete B. Florio, chairman of the Los Angeles Lodge Centennial Committee on Masonic History, 1953. The 37-page softcover item has the title and masonic symbol on the front cover. Contents include a foreword and an "Appreciation", followed by a history of masonry in California and that of Lodge 42. Mention of William Workman is on page 23, with many other early members given short biographical sketches. Other mention of Workman, his nephew William H., F. P. F. Temple, and the 1855 funeral of David Workman, at which there was a masonic procession are at several sections. A few photographs serve as illustrations to the book, which with spine and corner abrasions, edge dents, light soiling, paper yellowing, and water damage, is in good overall condition.Lexicon
