Description

"A Group of California Indians," from "Ballou's Pictorial Drawing-Rom Companion," December 1856. The image shows a dozen persons inside a dwelling. There are a variety of implements, baskets, hides, weapons, bowls and clothing depicted, showing native and foreign influences. There is a reference to text on another page that was not included with the accession. With edge tears, soiling, an area or two of foxing, liquid stains and edge rubbing, the condition is fair.
