"SUMMARY OF OPERATIONS, CALIFORNIA OIL FIELDS," JANUARY 1921 Color: Black; White "A Summary of Operations, California Oil Fields," Volume 6, Number 7, January 1921, from the California State Mining Bureau. The cover has the title, author, volume, number, and date, and location at the top. A woodblock-like image of an oil well is at the center with a black sqaure border around it. A list of some special articles is at the bottom. Contents include a comparative article on petroleum production in the state in 1900 and 1920; spacing of wells and town lot development; charts showing refinery stocks and output, gasoline production, a fold-out chart of efficiency of oil producers, oil production efficiency in conservation of oil resources; operation summaries for specific fields, including a reference to Temple lease well #13 at Montebello by Standard Oil Company of California on page 19; and, at the back, a list of Bureau publications and oil field maps. With cover creases, cover soiling, yellowing of pages, stains, staple tarnish, and spine tears, the general condition is good.
