Description

Color: Blue; Red; White "Doin' the Raccoon," lyrics by Raymond Klages and music by J. Fred Coots, distributed by Remick Music Corp., 1928. The sheet has a red and blue drawing on the front of a man and woman in a raccoon coat. They wear hats and hold hands while they each kick one leg in the air Charleston style. The title is across the top in brown. At the bottom left of this is, "SONG / with Ukulele Arrangement." The names of the composers are at the far right. Near the bottom right corner is the name of the distribution company. The music inside is printed in black ink with the lyrics across the bottom of the bars, and banjo fingerings across the top. On the back cover is a sample of a song entitled, "King for A Day," with lyrics by Lewis and Young, and music by Tad Fiorito. Around the piece is a border that features a grape and vine pattern. All of the printing on the back is in blue. With two creases across the front, some soiling, and small tears on the spine, the artifact is in fair condition.
