"Kapock Sketch Book," issued by the A. Theo. Abbott & Co., 1922. The 12-page booklet has a paper cover with the title in black at the top of the front. At the center is a color illustration of a two-story home with a fenced yard and tree-filled garden. At the bottom is the name and location of the manufacturer in black. On the top of the back is the black and blue logo of Kapock Fabrics while at the bottom is, "'KAPOCK FABRICS' / are made to a standard / not down to a price." On the back of the front cover is a foreword and, written in pencil on the top of the facing page, is the name of Margaret A. Lions. The artifact provides many color illustrations with descriptions that suggest the use of the manufacturer's fabric as drapery in interior decoration. With light creases; surface soiling; light stains; a tear at the bottom of the spine; and pencil markings throughout the back, the object is in fair condition.Lexicon
