"Needlecraft," June 1929, published by the Needlecraft Publishing Company. The artifact has thirty pages and at the top of the front is the title, date and price in black. Below is a color illustration of an ancient Egyptian woman engaged in a form of weaving with a temple-like entrance containing hieroglyphics and decorative bowls and implements on the ground. At the bottom right is the artist's name. Contents include articles on children's clothing; painted felt; refreshment sets; gros-filet scarf ends; women's fashions; cross-stitching; and recipes. There are many photograph and drawing illustrations, and advertisements for household goods. At the upper left of the front cover is a stamped address for the original recipient. In good condition, the item has cover creases; a dented top left corner; heavy cover soiling; page yellowing; signs of foxing on the cover and some pages; pages 15-18 loose; some pencil markings; scratches on the bottom right of the front cover; cover stains and tarnish from staples on pages; and small edge tears on the covers and pages, with one longer tear at the upper right of the front.Lexicon
