Description

Color: Brown; Black "Catalogue B," by the Mathews Implement Co. and printed by Pople & Warden, Printers, Los Angeles, 1896. The softcover item has a faux leather cover in tan with the title at the top, the company name, and list of major products offered in circular and rectangular boxes at the center, around which are images of farm implements, wagons, and carriages, and the company address at the bottom. The work lists plows, harrows, corn drills, planters, cultivators, shellers, cutters, sowers, mowers, hay rakes, stackers, pulleys, presses, barbed wire and other fencing materials, mills and separators, scrapers, wheelbarrows, harnesses, wagons, carriages, buggies, and bicycles among other items. Many items are accompanied with drawings of the product. At the front is an index and a photograph of the company building. In good condition, the item has edge and spine rubbing, cover creases, cover soiling, page browning, fading of cover color, folds on the first few pages at the bottom left corner, losses to the front cover top right and bottom right corners, the top of the spine, the top left of the back cover, staple tarnish, and some cover tears.
