"11525 - Old Fountain of Rancho La Merced," ca. 1920s. The image shows the fountain, filled with lily pads and surrounded by rough rock planters amid the north-facing gardens with lush plantings and a row of trees in the background to the east, next to the Soto-Sánchez Adobe, then owned by the Scott family. On the reverse is an identifying label, the ID number in pencil and a credit stamp from the Title Insurance and Trust Company's Collection of Historical Photographs. With slight losses at the lower right corner not affecting the image and at the top in two places, a crease at the lower right and very light soiling, the condition is good.
