"Nature Magazine," May 1929 issue (Vol. 13, No. 5), published by the American Nature Association. On the top of the front cover, which has a light blue background, is the title in large yellow letters and at the bottom are the issue date and price, volume, and number. An image of a rock outcropping on a mountain side that forms the image of a man's facial profile is in the center. The issue, which is described as the "New England Number" has articles on such topics as the region's history, birds, flowers, land mammals, forests, and other aspects, including Acadia National Park, among others. There are many black and white photographs and some color drawings, as well. At the front and back are many advertisements. The artifact is in good condition, though there is light rubbing on the spine ends; creases along cover edges; light cover soiling; page yellowing and discoloration along cover edges; stains along cover edges; and a small tear at the top of the spine.Lexicon
