"Map Showing 15 and 20 Mile Speed Limit Zones in the City of Los Angeles," Route and Map Service Department, Automobile Club of Southern California, probably 1923. When fully opened, the item shows much of the city limits with an area colored and outlined in red constituting the 20 mile per hour zone and areas in green, mainly in downtown, and some main arterial roadways outside it, as 15 mile per hour zones. Pictorial examples of street signs are included. Other features include reminders for drivers, hand signals for turning or stopping, braking times for certain speeds, and club information. With some edge rubbing and a few creases, but clean overall, the condition is good.Lexicon
