Description

"Presbyterian Church, Los Angeles, Cal.," F. H. Rogers and Company, Los Angeles, ca. 1885. The view is from Bunker Hill (the area seen in item .2 of this accession) looking southeast between First and Second streets. The tall spire of the Presyterian Church is notable, as is St. Vibiana Cathedral a few blocks east. Most structures in view appear to be residential, a mix of single and two-story homes, and there are small trees here and there. At the upper right is the Los Angeles and Independence Railroad depot. The photographer's stamp is at the side margins and the title an ink inscription on the reverse. With a few small stains, some soiling, and edge rubbing, the condition is good.
