"Deep Sand Bulletin," 21 December 1928, (Vol. I, No. 20), published by Manuel Spagnola, Whittier, California. This journal, also referred to as the "Whittier Californian" in the interior, printed in green ink for the Christmas holiday, covers primarily the Whittier and Santa Fe Springs oil fields, although there is material from further afield, as well as some local items and advertisements, some obviously concerning the holiday season.
