"404 Lake at Baldwin's Ranch So. Cal," by Frank Park, dated April 1900. The image is taken from the shore of the body of water with Baldwin's cottage obscured by a willow tree and other landscaping, with only the top of the tower in view, at the left. Extensive landscaping lines the shores of the lake, which was also surrounded by retaining walls. The caption is on the photo toward the bottom and the image was printed in an oval. An ink inscription on the reverse reads "Lake at Baldwin Ranch / South Pasadena Cal. / April 1900 / H.K.S." With residue from removal from a photo album, the unmounted cabinet card has some curvature and creasing, but is in good condition.
