Description

Color: Black; Green; Red; White "Mc Call's," published by the Mc Call Company, September 1928. The magazine has 144 pages. Across the top of the front cover is the title in green. At the center is a color illustration of a school teacher writing math equations on a blackboard. She has her hair bobbed and wears a green dress. On the bottom of the cover is the title of a short story included within as well as some of the subjects of other articles. In the issue is an editorial on "Old Home Week," short stories, and articles on Amelia Earhart; actress Jessie Bonstelle; the future of motion pictures; current national and world events; travel; fashion; planning a dinner party; eating habits; the Babies' Hospital in New York; the progress made in anesthetics; new books for children; and more. Many illustrations and black and white photographs are included. Advertisements found within are for many home-related items especially for cleaning and cooking. Several cooking-related advertisements also include short recipes. In fair condition, the artifact has some creases, light soiling, an address stamp, small stains, and small tears.
