Description

Color: Black; Purple; Red; White; Yellow "Mc Call's," published by the Mc Call Company, October 1928. The magazine has 152 pages. Across the top of the front cover is the title in purple. At the center is a color illustration of a gypsy woman holding a deck of cards in her left hand and the ace of hearts in her right. At the bottom left corner of the cover is the title of a short story in the issue. Also included are many short stories and articles on voting for Herbert Hoover during the 1928 presidential election; yachting; cookery; travel; Amelia Earhart; current affairs; screen and stage entertainment; reading; gypsies; the construction of small houses; violinist Albert Spalding; autumn entertaining and dining; buying and serving fruit; weight loss; housecleaning with modern appliances; blood transfusions; male grooming; fashion; and more. There are many photographs, illustrations, and advertisements for home-related items. Some food-related advertisements include short recipes. With creases; dented corners; soiling; an address stamp on the front cover; small stains; and small tears, the artifact is in fair condition.
