Description

Color: Black; Green; Red; White "Mc Call's," published by the Mc Call Company, December 1928. The magazine has 110 pages. The title is across the top of the front cover in red. At the center of the cover is a color illustration of a girl wearing a yellow dress with a poinsettia clipped to her left shoulder strap. Only the girl's head and shoulders are visible. In the background is a wreath of greens and berries. At the bottom of the cover is the title of part of a novel included in the issue as well as the names of authors whose work is also found within. In the issue are also many Christmas-related short stories and articles on travels in Antarctica; current events; candy-making for the holidays; holiday cookery; gifts; Christmas music recommendations; book reviews; fashion; and more. Many photographs, illustrations, and advertisements for home-related goods such as medicines, hygiene products, and home furnishings are also included. The artifact is in fair condition with some creases; dented corners; soiling; a purple address stamp; light stains; and small tears.
