Description

"History of California," E. S. Capron (Boston: John P. Jewett & Company; Cleveland: Jewett, Proctor and Worthington,) 1854. The work, authored after the commercial agent's visit to California in April 1853, is divided into four parts: the state's history, a description of San Francisco, the mining regions, and a description of the voyage. The map is not present and the binding is separated at pages 240-41. Further, the boards have fading and significant wear to the edges, so the condition is poor.
