Description

Color: Black; White A real photo postcard of Governor Dummer Academy, South Byfield, Massachusetts, ca. 1910s. The image is of the school chapel, which is a Greek Revival-style wood frame structure set on a large expansive lawn among a grove of trees. At the right is the title and the publisher's name, as well as what appears to be an identification number (7069.) On the reverse of the postally unused card is a divided back with space for the message on the left and address on the right, a box for a stamp at the upper right corner, the words "POST CARD" at the upper center and the name and location of the printer. With corner rubbing, light soiling, small pencil marks on the reverse, and a few stains at the front bottom right corner and on the reverse along the bottom center, the overall condition is good.
