"Aviation," 9 January 1928 issue, published by the Aviation Publishing Corporation, New York. The cover of the 41-page publication has the title at the top, superimposed over a wing-like design. Below this is the issue date and price of twenty cents. An aerial photograph within a Craftsman-like border shows Los Angeles' new city hall, nearly completed. At the lower corners are the volume and number. At the bottom are a list of special features and the publisher's name and address. Contents include editorials, various features on aeronautics, including navigation; business operations; aircraft carriers; the operations of Pan American Airways; the use of floodlights at airports; plane construction; and flying clubs. There are many industry advertisements, as well, and plenty of black-and-white photographs as illustrations. In fair condition, the artifact's cover has creases, soiling, stains, a few small tears, and overall wear, and there is some discoloration on pages.Lexicon
