A real photo postcard, "'Oil Wells' Los Angeles," ca. 1910. The image is taken from across a street toward eight wooden derricks, wooden tanks and, in the background, a few houses. There may also be some other auxilliary structures associated with the field. The title is from an ink inscription on the reverse of the unused card, which has very light soiling and minimal rubbing, so is in good condition.
