Description

Color: Black; White; Yellow "Happy Go Lucky Lane," lyric by Lewis and Young and music by Joseph Meyer, published by Jerome H. Remick & Co., 1928. The cover has the title in black letters at the top and the notation that the song has a ukulele arrangement below and to the left. At the bottom right are the names of the composers and publisher, with the latter's cities of business. The illustration is of a woman standing at an open front yard gate with a bouquet of flowers in one hand. Behind her is part of a house, and a lane, with eight trees in a row on one side, meanders into the distance toward a bright sun. The piece is for a ukulele tuned in the key of D and is in a moderato tempo. Scales for piano and voice are included in the score. On the back is a sample of another song offered by the publisher. With cover creases, soiling, and a few tears, as well as browning of the paper, the artifact, which also has a stamp of the music store which sold the piece, is in fair condition.
