Description

A colored photographic postcard, "1647 - BULLETIN BOARD, CHINATOWN," Los Angeles, by Edward H. Mitchell, Publisher, San Francisco, postmarked 11 December 1909. The image is of a gathering of Chinese men near notices posted on the wall of a brick building in the Chinatown district of the city, now the site of Union Station. The message on the reverse asks "Do you think you could read those signs?" The reverse has the message, an address, the one-cent stamp, the postmark, and the cancellation stamp. The condition is good.
