Description

Color: Black; Blue; Green; Yellow "Art Needlework and Fancy Wear for Women and Children," a catalog for the Fall and Winter of 1928-29 issued by Frederick Herrschner Inc. The front cover has a border of draperies, drawn to reveal a drawing of a living room, within which is a woman near a birdcage and a child riding a tricycle on the carpet. Six items, including draperies, pillows and clothing have accompanying item numbers from the catalog. The title and issue number are at the top, while the company name is in a black box at the bottom. The 88-page catalog, which is number 32 in the series, has information, pricing and many color images of products sold by the company including baby clothing and linens; clothing for toddlers and children; lace edging; needlework instruction books; needles, thread, scissors, crochet hooks and other supplies; linen sets; aprons and kitchen wear; curtains; towels; pot holders; bags; dusters; table covers; pillows; tapestries; parlor and library linen sets; bedrooms linen sets; doilies; napkins; women's lingerie; handkerchiefs; and tablecloths, among others. An order form is item .2. With tears at several places on the cover and slight discoloration and wear on the pages, the artifact is in fair condition.
