"Ornamental Cast-Metal Out-Door Lighting Fixtures," a catalog issued The Herwig Company, 1929. Number 30 in a series, the softcover item has a faux leather paper cover with a stylized box at the upper left, including an electric streetlight fixture at the bottom of the box. Within is the company name and the title of the catalog. Below this, in gold letters, is "CATALOG NUMBER 30," while at the lower right is the company name, establishment date, and location of business. On the title page is a drawing of the company's headquarters, under the title and the address and telephone number are to the right of the drawing. Following pages include an introduction, general information, including terms of sale and shipping, as well as policies on returns and special orders. Products listed include model numbers, dimensions and prices and are accompanied by drawings, most of which are black and white, but a few are in gold to illustrate bronze items and amber glass. While many of the items are street fixtures and industrial and commercial lights, there are illuminated house number lanterns, ceiling and porch fixtures. At the back are indices for general items; classification; and for those items that have different styles and sizes. While the cover has some surface soiling and dented corners and there is light page discoloration, the artifact is in good condition.Lexicon
