Description

"HIGHWAYS ARE HAPPY WAYS/IT WAS ONLY A SUN SHOWER" Color: Black; White A 78-rpm recording including "Highways Are Happy Ways" and "It Was Only A Sun Shower," by Ted Weems and His Orchestra, issued by the Victor label, 20910-A and B, 1928. The label has a scroll-patterned border with the letters "VE" at the top and bottom, the logo of the company, showing Nipper the dog listening through a victrola's horn, the label name, the identification number, indication the songs were fox trots with vocal refrains by Dusty Roades on both and Parker Gibbs on side B;song titles in English and Spanish, songwriters' last names (Harris, Malie and Shay on side A and Kahal, Wheeler, and Snyder on side B), artist, and company name and city of business. In good condition, the item has abrasions and small stains on both labels, fading of the lettering on side B, and surface scratches on the record.
