"Los Angeles City Government: 1927-1929," published by the Los Angeles Chronicle, 1927. The booklet has 38 pages with a yellow paperback cover. The front cover, which is printed in black, has the title at the top, and at the bottom "Compliments / LOS ANGELES / CHRONICLE / RICHARD S. SPARKS, PUBLISHER." At the center is a black and white photograph of Los Angeles City Hall. On the reverse of the front cover is the City Hall address and telephone number. The following pages contain a title page and an index. Listed in the artifact are the names of the city's major officials, boards, and departments, like that of the mayor and law enforcement. Included in the listings are applicable addresses and room numbers for those departments and officials located within City Hall. With cover creases and soiling; browning and folds on many of the pages; a corner to page 20 missing; stains; tarnish on the staples; tears; and overall wear, the artifact is in fair condition.Lexicon
