"How Boulder Dam Power Will Refinance Colorado River Project," from the Los Angeles Bureau of Power and Light and reprinted by the "Los Angeles Examiner" newspaper, with cover letter and mailing envelope, 16 October 1928. The 24-page pamphlet (a) consists of the Bureau's statement to the Congressional Colorado River Commission and lays out the argument that supplying power to Los Angeles and southern California generally from the river would pay for itself. There are many tables showing population growth and electricity use in the state and region from, in most cases, 1914 to 1928 and, in some, back to 1890. Other tables show electricity use from the state's power companies, while, at the rear, are a series of charts covering much of the same information. The letter (b) is from G. G. Young, the "Examiner"'s publisher, summarizing the report. The envelope (c) is addressed to a Los Angeles business and has a handwritten note as to the title of the report. The condition of the pamphlet and letter is good and the envelope is fair.
