"Modern Priscilla," October 1928 issue, published by The Priscilla Company, Boston. The front cover has the title, month and year, and price of the issue at the top. At the center is a color image of a woman in purple clothing amidst a variety of geometric shapes in purple, blue, and green. At the bottom right are the subjects of five articles in the issue. Articles include fiction; needlework curtains; bedspreads; cloth picture books for children; Art Deco needlework for the kitchen; chain-stitched items; felt trim pillows; food recipes; interior decoration; gardening; nurseries; furniture refinishing; children's clothes; milk and nutrition; Halloween party planning; buying meat; and women's fashions. There are many black and white and a few color illustrations and many advertisements throughout. A table of contents is at the rear of the 72-page periodical. At the upper left corner of the front cover is a stamp recipient's address. In fair condition, the item has spine brittleness; cover creases, soiling, loose covers, a small portion of the bottom right corner of the front missing, stains, especially on the front, and tears, while there is some light page discoloration.Lexicon
