Lucky Lager Brewing Company was originally launched as General Brewing Company in 1934 by Eugene Selvage. Who remained a owner and CEO up until 1961. The corporate entity changed it's name to Lucky Lager Brewing Company in 1949, and maintained that name until 1963. It was then changed to General Brewing, until 1969, when it became Lucky Breweries, Inc. In 1971 it became General Brewing Company again, up until 1985 when they officially went out of buisness, after their parent company S&P Co. purchased the Pabst Brewing Company, and closed or integrated the remaining General Brewing Company facilities.General Location
