Description

View of Parade Ground taken from outside F6 Fire Control Station on Fire Control Hill. The camera is facing in a northern direction. Date Note: The BOQ building to the right of Building #1 (Commanding Officers Quarters) is post 1938. The original post headquarters building has been demolished however the WWII era HQ has not been constructed, dating this to pre-1941. Building #1 is the first building seen in mid background nearest the beach. The BOQ is to the right. The next two buildings are officer duplex quarters. T hese two quarters along with buliding #1 were originally constructed in 1904. The roof in the right foreground is Battery Worth Fire Control Station with the chimmney for the US Army #15 pot belly stove. The shore line follows the parade ground south to north ending at the south section of Ebey's Landing. Written on back: "Parade ground at Ft. Casey, beach, Col.'s quarters, BOQ & Duplex"
