The article contains four pictures of women who instrumental in the settling of central Whidbey Island to include: sisters, Iona Black Boyer and Lottie Black Sherman, Hattie Swift Race, Flora Pearson Engle, and Nettie King who was a midwife on Ebey's Prairie. The article written by June Vigor highlighted historian Theresa Trebon work on women's lives of Central Whidbey.
