Scope and Content

Numerous papers concerning the establishment and recognition of Wet Whiskers contribution to the Coupeville community. The ice cream and ice cream shop was started in 1969 by the Stewart Borthers, Jim and Dave at 17 Front Street in Coupeville. This collection has one folder of correspondance between Carl Johnson (property manager) and Jim Stewart, largely about rent. A large portion of the collection is the correspondence between the Stewarts and the Whelan family for the purpose of planning the 2012 celebration of Wet Whiskers/ Seattle's Best Coffee. There are two folders of correspondence. One folder of contacts. A folder of publicity materials for the 2012 Celebration. And lastly a folder pertaining to what the Stewart Brothers did after leaving coupeville- Seattles Best Coffee and its purchase by Starbucks.
