Photograph of the house which belonged to Ida Alexander Sill in Coupeville. Photo c. 20 February 1950.
A typed note pasted on the reverse of the photo says, "This building was originally located on the north side of Front Street at the site of the liquor store. It housed a meat market and watch repair shop. The building was moved prior to 1916 and became a private residence. Ida Alexander Sill lived in the house for several years. The structure was originally sided with shiplap and the windows and entry on the front facade were changed when the structure became a residence. Most recently the structure has been a rental house or vacant. The current owner is considering restoration of the structure. 1995: This building was relocated and extensively altered and no longer has integrity."
A handwritten note from Roger Sherman on the reverse of the photo also reads, "As of 2018 this house has been extensively modified. It is located on Coveland Street across from the garage and gas station. It is now an office building and can be identified by the windows' location."Photograph Details
