Battery Turman. Photo taken from the Armiralty Head lighthouse cupola. Camera facing south west. Originally mounted 5-inch guns on balances piillar mounts. Dismounted in 1917 for service in France during WWI. The cliff and shoreline of Admiralty Inlet in the upper right. Written on back: "Gun emplacements (empty) for "Disappearing Rifles""
