A photo of the Keokuk Dam (bypassing the Keokuk Rapids on the Mississippi River), Iowa, with buildings of the canal and dry dock. A steamwheeler is in the drydock (center) with a railway/train tracks and telephone/power poles in the foreground. Looks like railroad ties just beyond the tracks. On the front is handwritten "Anschutz 1917." On the back is a letter written from William Izett to his wife Beth where he mentions the Keokuk dam.
