Use

A high-quality game made by McLoughlin Brothers of New York, "Picture Lotto" is packed in a wooden box with a sliding lid. The illustration on the lid shows children playing the game. Lotto became popular in America during the late 19th century as a children's game. This example, for young children, involved matching pieces of whole pictures to the appropriate space on a board showing the whole. Lotto games such as this led to the introduction and popularization of the game Bingo, popular today.
