Black & white photo of Whidbey Islanders headed for the Klondike - the gold rush of 1898. Hand written on the back: Seated - Dr. Isaac Power, Jim Gillespie, Henry Power - San De Fuca Standing - 2nd from right - Dan Earlywine of San De Fuca, Jim Gillespie of Coupeville, Albert Hoffman of Oak Harbor, Extreme Right One Gillespie was the son of John, the other was the brother. Picture was loaned by Madeleine Darst. The photo was originally stored in the Gillespie, James folder in the Archives Storeroom.
