Photo of the Central Hotel on Front Street. Per the accession book and written on the back: photo and negative of Central Hotel, Coupeville; Jenne, Prop. Written on the front: J. Jenne, Propr. A large group of men are standing on or in front of the porch. Two women, a girl, and two small children are on the roof over the porch - the women are seated in rocking chairs. A picket fence encloses the structure on the left. Another two-story building is on the right. A sign Central Hotel is above the women. The hotel is two-stories, at least two chimneys, side and front porch and stairs to the entrance. Per the Arcadia Coupeville book page 114, the hotel burned in 1977 and a new building was built in 2000. As of 2019 it is the Penn Cove Gallery.
There was a negative per the accession book but it was not with the photo in the folder as of October 2019.
PNRO: page 164. Built in 1889 as a hotel with a flat roof. In 1899 the mansard roof was added. Listed as: Glenwood Hotel, McPherson Candy Store, Law Offices.
