Photo of a woman and girl on the wood sidewalk outside the Public Library on Front Street. The woman is wearing a jacket and skirt and is holding a handbag. The sign on the wall behind her is for Ex-Lax. The library was opposite the Glenwood Hotel. Written on the back: Vesta Reuble and Carol. (wife of Fred Reuble). Also: scanned Engom
From a note: Vesta Reuble (wife of Fred Reuble) and daughter Carol in front of (current Knead and Feed). Another note: Vesta Reuble (wife of Fred Reuble) and her daughter Carol, stand in front of the Public Library in the early 1940s. The Ex-Lax sign on the half wall between the library and the Sedge building next door would hardly fit in the current historic guidelines (courtesy of Ilah Engom).
As of October 2019, Knead and Feed closed; it reopened in November 2019 as The Red Hen Bakery.
