One story building with false front, central double doors, one chimney, two bay windows, steps to door and covered entry. Two cars in front. The remains of Robertson wharf are in foreground. On the back: Elkhorn Saloon 1883 Elkhorn Saloon. 1884-1892 drug store. 1888 enlarged - Dr. Joshua Highwarden's drug store. A. N. Corbin law office. 1890s- 1938 Post Office. 1942 Dr. Chafey's office. 1949 Bishop Building for Dr. Paul Bishop's office until died 1962. 1967 sold. 1971 La Tienda Store. Early 1970s-1991 Coupeville Weaving Shop. 1992 antique store. 1992-current Elkhorn Trading Antiques. From old entry: Elkhorn Saloon Unit 6, Drawer A (Coupeville Front St. Asst Bldgs) Per PNRO page 155: Built in 1883, first false front commercial building in Coupeville. Elkhorn Saloon. 1884-1892 drug store. 1888 enlarged - Dr. Joshua Highwarden leased it. 1900s as Post Office. Bishop Building when Dr. Paul Bishop used it.
