Black and white photograph of Native Americans walking in the 1940 water festival parade. There are four men (probably chiefs) walking in a line at the front. Three are fully clothed, whilst one is bare-chested and bare-limbed and holding a drum. Behind them walk women also in ceremonial garb. A carousel stands in the background, with glimpses of spectators standing along the side of the street. Hand written on the back: "Coupeville Indian Festival August 1940".Collection
