Photo of a church with a set of four narrow tall windows on the front, steeple on the left. Wood with stone foundation. Bell in the top of the steeple. Cedar shake roof. Small arched window at the peak of the roof in front. Trees around the edges of the property. Picket fence and a rail fence. Puget Sound Academy building. This and another building are now gone/were razed.
This is now the Catholic Church. It is at 207 N. Main St.
PNRO book page: 87: Congregational Church built in 1889. Bought by Catholic Church in 1934, now St. Mary's, first permanent Catholic Church on Whidbey Island. Restored to original appearance 1974-1976. Steeple and bell tower reconstructed and building painted to match the original.
